a note on the weather

Be aware that what Bernera does have in abundance is typical Scottish weather, from fierce winter storms to beautiful blue skies to vibrant autumnal colours. If you’re lucky you can experience all the seasons in one day! Just remember the weather is what it is, and it’s what helps make our island so special. Scottish comedian and actor Billy Connolly sums it up nicely when he says:

I hate all those weathermen who tell you rain is bad weather. There’s no such thing as bad weather, just the wrong clothing. So get yourself a sexy raincoat and live a little.

Whatever time of the year you decide to visit Great Bernera, we’re sure you’ll have a unique and highly memorable experience!
